Friesland Foods Research & Development is a dynamic, international company. Over 280 professionals carry out research and translate knowledge acquired into new and innovative concepts, products, processes and packaging. They work for the Friesland Foods’ operating companies in Europe, South-east Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
What we do
We work with milk and fruits. Two natural products that are both healthy and delicious. These products form the functional ingredients that are added, among others, to health products for the international market as well as serving as ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industry.
Milk and fruits are also at the basis of our successful, innovative consumer products sold all over the world. Breaker, Quark yoghurt, baby / children’s food, LangLekker and CoolBest Vitaday: products of which we are justifiably proud. We also carry out research into smart packaging to improve the flavour of semi-skimmed products, for instance. And last but not least, our talents lie in helping to design handy packaging that is both practical as well as attractive. One example is the streamlined coffee milk cup from Friesche Flag that can be easily opened without spills.
Our ambition
We carry out thorough research and keep a sharp eye on developments in the international market. These skills enable us to deliver healthy, safe and surprising products that, time and again, exceed consumers’ expectations. But then that’s why we do it after all.
